LES VOIX D'ITXASSOU [Disques Nato] Composed and Arranged by Tony Coe
The singers include Marianne Faithfull, Ali Farka Toure, Maggie Bell, Abed Azrie, Françoise Fabian, Marie Atger, and Juan José Mosalini, to name but a few.
If only others composed for songs in this way, wit might be reinvented in the context of Anglo-European music. This is one of Coe's finest hours.

BEFORE THE DAWN - Tony Coe Live in London [Chapter One Records]
It has been my privilege to work frequently with all the musicians on this CD over a period of many years: the great John Horler on piano; Chris Laurence, a versatile bass virtuoso; Alec Dankworth, a highly sought-after bassist and winner of numerous awards and Trevor Tomkins, one of the few 'listening' drummers and a fine raconteur.

I am very happy to include a track featuring my dear friend the late, wonderful Bob Cornford, who plays piano on 'Some Other Autumn'.
Tony Coe
This is my best small comboCD-not only because the recod company
actually pays me sale royalties.

LES SOURCES BLEUES [Disques Nato]

"I was asked to compose the music for the film 'Camomille' (director Medhi Charef) and after a couple of minutes watching the film for the first time, the main theme came to me without any apparent effort on my part, in fact, when I hear the theme nowadays, this haunting, bittersweet drama is evoked in its entirety. To me, the film and the music are as one. Camomille is the beautiful heroine played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and her saviour, lover is played by Remy Martin.

Tangellen is dedicated to my mother, Ellen, a prize-winning dancer and Mexican George is dedicated to my father, George William Perkiss Coe."

Bad intonation on this cD is due to my lazy ness in not bothering to get
An old clarinet tuned in the proper way before embarking on this rather
rushed venture.
